Community

We run a number of small community projects, often initiated and managed by our chaplains or project workers.

One such project is the Retired Seafarers’ Lunches in Ghana. Samuel Candy-Yankey, one of the Society’s Ghanaian chaplains, runs these lunches for retired seafarers twice a month, providing retired seafarers with companionship and support as well as a nutritious meal. Other examples include bible studies, feeding programmes and stationery and books for children starting school.
