Church built by Mariupol Chaplain devastated by Russian bombing

Sailors’ Society CEO Sara Baade has been speaking of her concern for Society chaplains in Ukraine, as news reached the UK that a church built by one chaplain has been bombed.

As Sara shared her concerns on social media, the Christian maritime welfare charity received a video showing the church devastated by Russian bombing in Mariupol.

The footage was particularly heart-breaking as the church had been built by Sailors’ Society chaplain for the Port of Mariupol, Pastor Viktor Dudnyk, around 18 years ago.
