Volunteers are vital to us; we simply couldn’t do the work we do without them. If you have some spare time or a skill that could help, please consider getting in touch and supporting our seafarers.
Help us help more.
It is our aim to have a volunteer in every port around the UK (to start with anyway!)
Whether you could help fundraise, tell people in your church or community about our work or even get involved in visiting seafarers, we need you.
Our army of knitters make more than 10,000 woolly hats a year for us to give out to seafarers working in extreme weather conditions. Not only do the hats help keep them warm, but it’s a great feeling to know someone they have never met has spent time making them.
We currently have three charity shops, but are soon to be opening more across the south coast. We even plan to open a coffee shop or two.
If you could support us in a variety of ways and know others who would also be interested, why not set up your own Sailors’ Society support crew. This could be to pray for our chaplains or seafarers or a knit and natter group to make hats for seafarers. Whatever your ideas, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
