We know being part of the 1.2 per cent of the global seafarer workforce can be tough in a traditionally male-dominated industry But every one of the 24,000 women serving as seafarers plays a vital role in bringing us over 90 per cent of everything we own and use.

They battle isolation, discrimination and sometimes harassment to build themselves a career at sea.

That’s why we want to highlight the role of women in maritime on the international stage via the TCS London Marathon MyWay on Sunday 27 April, 2025

Lace Up and Let's Go....

We are looking for runners to join our #TeamSailorsSociety for Women in Maritime.

• You can run, walk or jog.

• You can do it by yourself or with friends or family.

• You can do it on a treadmill, around your neighbourhood or even in a local park.

With 24 hours to do the full marathon distance, you can take as long as you need to finish it. You can stop and start, or walk it all in one go, it's up to you! You'll also receive the exclusive London Marathon finisher t-shirt and medal.

Not only will you be able to complete the 26.2 miles whichever way works for you, but you will know you are raising much-needed funds to help us support seafarers across the globe.
