A coffee lounge that donates all of its profits to a Southampton-based charity reopened today (1 February).

The BySea Coffee Lounge in Portswood is a social enterprise, which supports the work of maritime charity Sailors’ Society.

The charity’s director of development Adam Stacey said: “Everyone has worked really hard to get the lounge open again and we’re grateful for the support of our loyal customers.

“The BySea Coffee Lounge team’s cup is definitely half full; in fact it's fuller than that because we now offer bottomless filter coffee for just £4.50.”

Community groups can hire the lounge for their events and the venue will host weekly music nights from March.

Situated on Portswood Road, the lounge is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am-5pm.
