SIM cards so five seafarers can phone home

Our chaplains will give SIM cards to seafarers who need to contact their families in an emergency. This gift could help put a seafarer in touch with his or her family.

In Belgium, SIM cards needs to be registered before use. Our chaplain there, Marc Shippers, goes on board to help carry out this electronic registration. It is time-consuming but leaves seafarers happy that they can still contact home.
