Seeds are being sown Seeds are being sown

Half hour walk from my lodging into Saint Peter Port this morning. Noticed how similar the streets are to those on the French mainland: colourful granite buildings of varied shapes and sizes, strangely, not many have French shutters on the outside. St Peter Port is beautiful. Narrow lanes wind down to the bustling port. I timed the walk from the docks to various places of worship to estimate how accessible they would be to seafarers with a few hours to relax and find the all-important Wi-Fi.

Coffee with a local Anglican minister in a little restaurant overlooking the seafront. This afternoon the Church of Scotland minister spent an hour or so with me and I showed him the video of our work in Invergordon. This evening a meal out with a couple from the large Baptist Church at the centre of the Island. All were agreed that the need of seafarers is great and that the churches of Guernsey an do more to help. Seeds are being sown. I believe the churches will rise to the challenge.
