Worship Onboard

The tradition of holding divine services onboard ships at sea goes back nearly two centuries.

Yet, this worship is often unique. Because of long months away on duty and a lack of Chaplains to conduct services onboard, often a crew member may volunteer to lead a service for their shipmates.

Any shipboard service is invariably Interdenominational, particularly at the special times of the calendar when seasonal services such as Christmas and Easter are celebrated.
