Why our services are needed by seafarers
When ships dock in port today they are invariably berthed in a highly mechanised environment, contained within a patrolled security zone, often far from normal human habitation. The opportunity for their crews to go ashore is constrained by the increasingly demanding routine of shipboard life.
To combat the social isolation the crews still have a desire to meet people other than those they work with in close confinement every day. They want the opportunity to communicate with their loved ones and after long periods at sea, they get off the ship to refresh their mind and spirit.
