Our future vision is to replace isolation with a sense of belonging for all the world’s seafarers
The merchant seafaring community deserves the best welfare support to compensate for their isolation and separation from family and friends whilst engaged on contract.
Seafarers may often be away at sea for ten or eleven months at a time with only brief periods of free time in port. Based upon Christian belief, the Society’s Chaplains minister to professional seafarers of all ranks without discrimination for faith, race or nationality. As a Christian charity the Society aims to provide that deserved support and to make a positive contribution to improve the quality of a seafarer's well-being.
