The Trustee Board
The Trustee Board meet formally four times each year to consider all matters of policy and to discuss the future strategy of the Society. Decisions and actions arising are properly recorded and the Chief Executive Officer is charged to implement policy as agreed and to manage all operational aspects of the Society’s services and manage its assets.
Certain trustees additionally attend meetings as members of the three standing policy sub-committees which cover the main areas of our activity. These are the Finance, Chaplaincy and Fundraising functions. The Finance Committee meet nine times a year under terms of reference set by the Board and comprises the Chair of the Society together with at least five other Trustees with the Chief Executive Officer and the Director of Finance in attendance. Major decisions of the Finance Committee are notified to the Trustee Board.
The Chaplaincy and Fundraising sub - committees also separately meet four times a year under terms of reference set by the Board and include a representative number of trustees in majority. The Chair of each committee is required to report progress and key decisions to the full Trustee Board at its set meetings.
